At Atelier Ferrari + Monti, we specialise in bespoke mother of the bride and mother of the groom outfits, designed to feel as confident and personal as the occasion itself. A wedding is a moment that stays with you, and what you wear should reflect who you are today, not a version shaped by expectation.
Our approach is simple: to create a garment that feels elegant, considered, and entirely your own.

designed around you
Choosing what to wear as the mother of the bride or groom can feel overwhelming.
Many women come to us looking for something that:
- feels refined, but not traditional
- is modern, yet timeless
- offers comfort across a long and emotional day
Through bespoke design, you are no longer limited to what is available. Instead, we create something that reflects your personal style, body, and the setting of the wedding.
The result is a piece that feels effortless to wear and unique to you.

a personal, considered approach
Every outfit begins with a consultation in our St Albans atelier. We take time to understand:
- the style and tone of the wedding
- your preferences in colour, silhouette, and fabric
- how you want to feel on the day
You are guided through a curated selection of Italian fabrics, with the opportunity to explore different options and refine your design step by step.
Whether you are drawn to a tailored suit, a fluid dress, or a coordinated set, each piece is designed to feel balanced, comfortable, and elegant.

Atelier Ferrari+Monti designed and made me a three piece trouser suit in Italian crepe to wear at my daughter's wedding. The whole process was creative and enjoyable, allowing options to enhance the outfit with a stunning lining and buttons. The finished costume was so beautifully fitted and comfortable and I had many compliments throughout the wedding event. I can recommend them highly if you want an eye-catching outfit for a special event.

This atelier is a jewel of a place! AnnaLisa creates the most beautiful and gorgeous bespoke pieces for women. A large choice of fabrics, plain and patterned, tailor made to make the most of you. You can take a favourite piece for her to use as a template or create something entirely new.
Very gifted creator of clothes which you will wear on repeat! Sustainably is part of her ethos, too. Highly recommended.

your bespoke journey, explained
From initial consultation to final fitting, each step is carefully considered to ensure a perfect result.

Step 1:
Consultation & Design
Your journey begins with a personal consultation in our atelier.
We take time to understand:
- the occasion
- your personal style
- how you want to feel in the garment
You will be measured, guided through fabric options, and introduced to different design possibilities. We also provide fabric swatches where needed, allowing you to coordinate accessories and complete your look with confidence.

STEP 2:
first fitting
Approximately two weeks later, your first fitting takes place.
At this stage, we refine the garment to achieve the ideal fit, focusing on:
- proportion and structure
- movement and comfort
- overall silhouette
We also finalise design details, from neckline and length to trims and finishes, ensuring every element feels considered.

step 3:
Final Fitting & Collection
Your final fitting is where everything comes together.
We make any last adjustments and ensure the garment fits perfectly, both visually and in how it feels to wear.
Once complete, your piece is ready for collection, created entirely in our atelier and designed to be worn with confidence.

FOR WINTER WEDDINGS
The end of July is the perfect time for upcoming winter weddings. The process of creating your mother of the bride outfit starts around 8-10 weeks before the event with 5 fittings scheduled ahead.
